Epoque Terrace

Above the Knightsbridge roof tops the secluded Fifth Floor Café‘s Terrace has always been a favourite for those fashionistas in the know. To celebrate the start of the British Summer, Knightsbridge’s best kept secret now boasts a magical, new flower garden installation, courtesy of Champagne Perrier-Jouët.

The installation, which was a collaboration between a number of artists and designers reflects the wonderful stylised Anemone flowers of the Perrier-Jouët bottle. A lush green ‘lawn’ covers the floor, whilst striking, specially commissioned white aluminium metal anemones, created by Izabella Doyle and Suzanne O’ Connell, adorn the walls and the turret to add to the magical ‘secret garden’ feel.  In the corner a romantic white rattan swing, with room for two, is embellished by iconic Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque bottles and a Jane Packer white flower creation, inspired by the bottle’s famous 1902 Emile Gallé anemone design. To accompany the visual installation a special relaxing ambient soundtrack has been created by Jim Latimer featuring the blissful sounds of a Summer afternoon.

Fifth Floor Executive Chef Jonas Karlsson, has taken inspiration from the garden to create a new Garden Salad Menu, which will be served daily on the terrace. Dishes such as Secret Garden Salad, with Smoked chicken, feta cheese, grapefruit, baby spinach and a secret dressing and the Spring Salad with fresh broad beans, English peas, cannelini beans, cherry tomatoes and spring onions are the perfect match for a glass of deliciously elegant Perrier-Jouët.

A special ‘Get in the Swing of it’ package is also available, giving customers who purchase a bottle of Cuvée Belle Epoque 1999 access to the VIP swing and complimentary nibbles.
