Stella goes on Budweiser spending spree
Stella are due to buy the Anheuser-Busch the US company who own Budweiser and create the worlds largest beer manufacturer.
A deal has reportedly been made which will see Stella purchase the compnay for an estimated £25 billion. Some American politicians have led out cries against a foreign company buying what some see as the traditional American beer in Budweiser, however InBev who produce Stella & Becks brands are to pay $5 aove the share price to seal the purchase.
The takeover would be the third largest takeover of an American company by a foreign investor and the largest takeover within the drinks industry. It would result in the combined brands producing a quarter of the worlds beer and have an annual income in the region of $36.4 billion.
